Coffee and Comfort

As an artist I have always had a deep awareness of the world around me. I seek to heal the world, but in my own special way through art. I feel that one of the most valuable things I can offer is to show in my artwork the way that I have coped with troubles that are personal, and social and political issues that are of concern to many people. My artwork shows this by picturing a woman who is in a meditative mood with the objects of the world nearby. In my artworks you may find a newspaper with stories of war and other dangers is being read, mysterious figures walk outside; a dagger-like knife sits on the table. Despite all of these at best, irritations, at worst, direct threats, she has found a way to remain steady and calm.

If I start my day by making a deliberate place for calm and warmth I have a very good chance of the day going well. I can begin with coffee and comfort and end by seeing the easel with my painting on it. The day has gone very well and life is very good.
